Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Hearso. Last updated 23 August 2026.

Hearso is in beta

Hearso is early software offered free of charge. Features change, break, and disappear. Rounds may end unexpectedly and rooms may become unavailable.

Rooms are deleted once they are more than 24 hours old. Hearso is not a place to keep anything you need later. Do not rely on it to store anything important.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

If you use Hearso for your team, you confirm you are allowed to agree to these terms on their behalf.

Your account

You can play as a guest without an account. If you create one, give accurate information and keep your login details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Hearso will never ask for your password, and never by email. Anyone who does is not us.

How to behave

Playing Hearso means agreeing not to:

  • harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse other players
  • put anything unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or deliberately upsetting into a display name, nickname, review, or message
  • break into, overload, probe, or disrupt the service or anyone else's games
  • use bots or scripts to play, score, or scrape
  • get around rate limits, bot checks, or access controls

Display names and reviews are seen by other people. Choose accordingly. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and given the size of the team, we may do so without warning.

Reviews and anything else you submit

You keep ownership of what you write. By submitting a review you give us permission to store, display, and share it in connection with Hearso, including your display name.

Reviews are held for approval and are never published automatically. We are under no obligation to publish anything, and we may decline without giving a reason.

Only submit things you have the right to submit.

What belongs to us

Hearso, its name, look, and software belong to LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME. These terms do not give you any right to use them beyond using the service as intended.

Donations

If you choose to support Hearso financially, that is a voluntary gift. It buys no product, service, feature, or priority, and it is not refundable.

No warranty

Hearso is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that trivia answers are correct.

Limits on what we owe you

To the fullest extent the law allows, LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Hearso.

Our total liability for any claim relating to Hearso is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or LIABILITY_CAP.

Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending things

You can stop using Hearso at any time, and ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we stop offering the service.

Changes, and the law that applies

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will say so in the product and update the date above. Continuing to use Hearso after that means accepting the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of GOVERNING_LAW, and disputes go to the courts of VENUE. If any part of this is unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Help improve Hearso

With your permission, we measure basic game usage, safe button/link interactions, and IP-based traffic data. We do not send your email, name, country, answers, or sign-in tokens to analytics. You can change this in Settings after signing in. Hearso also keeps anonymous totals of rounds, players, and live rooms without this permission; see the player guide.
