About Hearso

A small product built by a small team, in the open, for teams that do not share an office.

What we are building

One short game a day for distributed teams, async by default, with the scores revealed together. It started as a trivia game and is becoming a library of them. The constraint we design against is simple: it has to survive a busy week, or it is not a ritual.

How we work

In the open, mostly. Every release is written up twice — once for the people using it and once, in technical detail, for anyone reading the code — and both are public. When something breaks we say what broke and what we changed, rather than shipping a quiet fix and a cheerful note.

  1. Every version appears in the changelog, including the ones that only fixed our own mistakes.
  2. Nothing is announced before it works.
  3. We would rather write down a limitation than let you find it.

Where it is going

More games, a better library, and the things teams keep asking for. The roadmap is public and the changelog says what actually landed, which are deliberately two different documents.

With your permission, we measure basic game usage, safe button/link interactions, and IP-based traffic data. We do not send your email, name, country, answers, or sign-in tokens to analytics. You can change this in Settings after signing in. Hearso also keeps anonymous totals of rounds, players, and live rooms without this permission; see the player guide.
