Comparing tools in this category

An honest set of questions to ask of any team-engagement tool, including this one.

Why this page has no scorecard

Most comparison pages are written by one of the products being compared, which makes the result predictable. We would rather give you the questions than the answers, because the answers change with every release — including ours — and a table we control is a table we grade ourselves on.

The questions worth asking

Ask these of every tool on your shortlist. The ones that matter most are the ones vendors answer least directly.

  1. Does it need everyone online at once? If yes, it excludes whoever is asleep — permanently, and always the same people.
  2. How long does it take a participant per day, honestly measured?
  3. Can someone skip it without explaining themselves?
  4. What does it do with answer content — is it stored, and does analytics see it?
  5. Is pricing per seat? Per-seat pricing makes somebody decide who is worth including.
  6. What happens to your data when you leave?

How we answer them

Async by default, about two minutes a day, skippable with no notification to anyone, answers never sent to analytics, free with no seat count, and account deletion removes what it held. Where we are weaker: we are early, the library is small, and there are integrations we do not have yet. Those are real and we would rather you heard them here.

Help improve Hearso

With your permission, we measure basic game usage, safe button/link interactions, and IP-based traffic data. We do not send your email, name, country, answers, or sign-in tokens to analytics. You can change this in Settings after signing in. Hearso also keeps anonymous totals of rounds, players, and live rooms without this permission; see the player guide.
